Biography:
Coach Henderson will be entering his sixth season as head coach of the Northwest Area Cross Country program in Fall 2024. Coach Henderson also has served as the distance coach for Northwest Area's Track & Field program for the last nine years. His previous coaching experiences includes serving as the assistant cross country coach at Northwest Area, as well as head junior high boys coach at Crestwood High School for Track and Field.
During his tenure as NWXC head coach, the team broke it's 20-year hiatus from the State Championship, sending at least four student-athletes to Hershey for the last three consecutive seasons, placed fourth in the district, and received the Brooks Running Company Booster Club Sponsorship, which helped support the development of the varsity and junior high programs.
Coach Henderson also oversees the Running Rangers Summer Fitness Camp. Launching in the Summer of 2020, this four-week health and wellness program for the students of the Northwest Area Intermediate School has provided nearly 200 pairs of shoes to the Northwest Area community.
